Tinnitus can be an upsetting, intrusive symptom but many are unaware of the fact that it is often triggered by an overactive mind and body due to increased anxiety symptoms. This sensitization turns up one’s senses into a heightened state, resulting in increased awareness of sounds which are not only annoying but distracting.
